The membership of Chicagoland Club 50 is a friendly combination of singles and couples. Our emphasis is on having friends to share the good times.
If you have a spouse or partner who doesn’t ski or like sports, come by yourself. He/she can join the group for dinners. We’re focused on group activities for both sports and social events.
Our only requirement is that you must be 50 or older. However, a spouse under the age of 50 may join too.
Guests are welcome to attend dinners and some activities. Make a reservation in advance with the person in charge of the event.
Yearly dues for Club 50 are $30. The membership year is May 1 to April 30. Join us anytime. We’re active year-round.
Ski Club Membership Profile
Our members are in their 50s, 60s and 70s. A few people have celebrated their 80th birthdays with us on ski trips. (You’d never know it by their appearance and watching them ski!)
Members live in Chicago as well as many different suburbs. We also have members from other states who like to ski with us.
For all out-of-town trips, a priority sign-up period is given to Chicago area residents.
Some folks join Club 50 saying, “I haven’t skied in years.” This is an excellent time to renew the interest. New technology for skis and boots plus new teaching methods have made the sport so much easier and enjoyable.
Skiing styles of our members range from easy cruising and moderate to fast and energetic. Choose your own level.
We’re not into downhill racing although some members enjoy challenging themselves on the NASTAR courses available at major ski areas.
