Join us for a Summer Solstice Thursday night concert at Ravinia in the Martin Theater.  We’ll share appetizers and drinks as we do in Millennium Park, sit under the stars on blankets and listen to Well-Strung, a string quartet with a twist.  Four young men play universally recognized classical pieces and sing pop music hits from the likes of Taylor Swift and Rihanna.  They’ve been invited to perform at the Vatican and even wrote a song called “Chelsea’s Mom” which led to a special performance for 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Concerts held in the Martin Theater are smaller affairs than those performed in the much larger Pavilion, but the sound for lawn guests is the same, coming through the same large speakers placed about the lawn.  Martin Theater concerts are never crowded and the parking is free.  Easy in, easy out.

Plan on joining us.  Bring an appetizer or other dish to share, a beverage, your own utensils and plate, as well as a chair or blanket.  Ravinia is located in a forested area and is always cool in the evening even when the rest of Chicago is warm, so bring a jacket.

DATE/TIME:   Thursday, June 21, 2018, Picnic at 6:00 pm and concert at 7:30 pm

LOCATION: 200 Ravinia Park Road, Highland Park, IL
